Keynote Training – How we work with brands like Salesforce, Twitter, Rothco & Zahra
This article is about our Keynote Training and how Big Wave Media Training is working with some class-leading brands like Salesforce, Twitter, Rothco, and Zahara through our customized Apple training programmes.
This time focusing on Apple Keynote training ensuring they look impressive with their presentations, in the quickest timeframe using advanced design and production skills and Apple technology. Having just delivered another round of customised onsite Keynote training for ad agency Rothco I thought it might be of interest to showcase how we make some of the best, look even better!
We’ll look at the;
- benefits of Keynote training,
- some of the features and content we cover in the training,
- and how we structured custom sessions to fit around client skill levels, and time frames.
Have you ever thought…?
- I’m giving a presentation and I want it to be super slick?
- minimal content on simple layouts?
- cool fresh design, word maps, info graphics, 3D charts, video clips?
Or ‘I’ve seen speakers run the slide-deck from their iphone or ipad…that seems to be the way to go… Maybe you are migrating from Microsoft Powerpoint or are using Apple’s delightful Keynote already …but want a better final output in quicker time? Let’s face it – there’s always last minute prep and juggling of the slide order in the run up to the presentation! so efficiency is key (excuse the pun!)
Prep time is Key
Those who produce presentations know there’s a lot that goes into making a presentation look well. It’s also about how the presentation works – nobody wants a stilted click through of jarring images, different fonts and colors. They should follow a structured look, feel and the slides should flow seamlessly into one another. That way you can present with confidence and focus on your message and your audience, while the Keynote slides glide along with you. This final output is impressive when you have a solid command of Apple’s Keynote, and are armed with advanced Keynote tips and tricks to make your presentation look and deliver well.
Salesforce – Pro Presentations in double-quick time
Salesforce are well known for their global success with their cloud based software for sales and CRM. But they are also a company that knows a thing or two about the importance of an impressive sales pitch, and also efficiency with time. So when some of their management team were looking to improve the look, but also the time to create their presentations, they came to us for Advanced Keynote training.
‘Just to let you know that the Advanced Keynote training was great and the tutor had a deep knowledge and was really helpful. I am already putting in practice all the advanced features I’ve learned from the training session.’

Zahra – High Design standard for client Presentations
Leading Dublin design agency Zahara, part of the Zahra Media Group came to us as they were finding more and more of their production involved outputting presentations for their clients. Often the ideas or content might start in Powerpoint – but need updating or refreshing from a design perspective so importing Powerpoint into Keynote or converting between the two was important. So the trainer assigned needed to be fluent in both Microsoft Powerpoint, Apple Keynote and usually the supporting applications like iWork’s Pages, Numbers, iMovie, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or Word and Excel.
Leading ad agency Rothco had similar aims, and were looking to improve both internal presentations and external ones.
Rothco – Tech and media savvy
“Some of our team were existing users with experience of Keynote or Powerpoint, but needed to get the most from their production time.” said Amy Toolan at Rothco. “With some looking too be confident in all aspects of keynote – Fonts, charts, layouts, animations, video, slick presentations. Some more intermediate / advanced looking for magic moves and builds, tips and tricks and getting faster at production times’
Thanks again Big Wave …The session was great, very informative!” Amy- Rothco
Flexible, Multi-Level, and onsite
To ensure the different staff and teams could get the skills without too much impact on time in the office we delivered different levels of training, in short sessions on the client site.
“Big Wave created a series of short but intensive training sessions for us that focused on the different levels of Keynote experience for our teams. ” Amy Toolan – Rothco
