iLife Courses
The iLife Training Courses are offered in Dublin, Cork or onsite, and you can choose from either 1, 2, or 3 days depending on your requirements. These courses are ideal for individuals, lecturers, or industry professionals.
iLife is a suite of digital authoring tools that comes with every Mac: iPhoto, iMovie, GarageBand, iDVD, and iWeb.
iLife training is particularly suited to teaching professionals looking to best utilise the media capabilities of the Mac in the classroom, bringing student projects and ideas to life. So these courses can be tailored to your teaching requirements, showing you how the iLife tools will enable students to bring text, images, music, video together to express themselves in any subject area.

iLife Overview – 1 day
iLife Introduction 101 - 2 day
iLife Comprehensive Study 201 - 3 day
The iLife Overview is a 1 day course where you become familiar with the iLife toolset and start creating digital media projects.
The iLife 101 - Introduction is a 2 day course where you learn to create more sophisticated media-rich projects with iMovie, iPhoto, and GarageBand.
The iLife 201 - Comprehensive Study is a 3 day course which covers all aspects of the iLife product range, including podcasting, blogging, and publishing web content. It is ideal in preparing students for Apple Certified Associate Exam, and offers best value.
iLife 101 - An Introduction to iLife
This two-day, hands-on course introduces students to the features and interface of iLife '09. You will learn to create media-rich digital projects, and share them online with a few clicks. Featuring footage and images from around the world, the focused lessons cover organizing and sharing your photo library to creating polished video and soundtracks. Along the way, you will produce photo albums, movies, and music.
Who should do this course?
This class is designed for educators, students, professionals, and others who prefers hands-on and interactive instruction to best explore the functionality of the iLife '09 applications. This course covers all lessons required to prepare for the Apple Certified Associate, iLife exam.
Students who want a class that covers the entire iLife suite may prefer to take the three-day iLife 201 course.
Course Content:
Students will learn:
- Organize and edit images in iPhoto
- Edit and share movies with iMovie
- Turn your photos into cards, picture books, calendars, or a web gallery
- Add motion and music to a slideshow, then publish it online
- Create a video with polished transitions, music, and effects
- Build a soundtrack in GarageBand, and learn to score a simple movie
