Introduction to xHTML
Why xHTML?
Extensible Hyper Text Markup Language (xHTML) is the language and foundation of modern web design and is the basis for developing CSS layouts that don’t rely on Table design.
Who should do this course?
Maybe you have worked with HTML before and are looking to update your knowledge to incorporate the xHTML format, or maybe you have little or no experience of HTML for web design and are looking to bridge the gap between Table based layouts and CSS layouts.
About the course:
This introductory course covers the fundamentals of HTML and xHTML, and provides the basis for going on to use it in conjunction with CSS for more sophisticated web design. The class will outline the rules of xHTML and CSS, and their application for specific uses in web design, and with a mixture of theory and hands-on exercises, will focus on hand coding, rather than software applications.
