Today we’re kicking off the series of x 3 FREE Color and Final Cut Pro training workshops in our Dublin training centre. This workshop is for video editing professionals who are looking to improve their editing and production skills by getting hands-on with Color and Euphonix grading systems. We will be running in-centre promotions for all attendees to get great opportunities of getting further training and Apple Certification in the area of Final Cut professional editing.
The event is by Apple and Apple Solutions Experts Tyrell CCT who have offices in Dublin and London.
The training workshops are in the form of 3 x 1 day ’ Making The Grade’ training courses on September 22nd, 23rd and 24th, 2010.

Photoshop CS5 New Feature Highlights
September 14th, 2010I have just delivered the first CS5 version of the Photoshop training course at Big Wave Media Training. So having been preparing the new techniques over the summer it is great as a trainer to be finally delivering the new photoshop techniques. The photoshop couse went great. We had 3 learners all with a good knowledge of Photoshop which allowed me to really move along and get into the more advanced areas, especially on the 3rd day which is included with the Pro-Skills Course.

Adobe have really raised the bar with this new release. They have include a variety of tools which could slash a designers production time when used correctly. New features such as;
- Content aware fill – for fast accurate cloning;
- Enhanced Masking – allowing the user to add feathering and more to masks;
- Content aware healing – ideal for quickly taking out fences or telegraph wires;
- Puppet Warp tool – ideal for altering the composition of an object, such as hair;
- New Painting Features – allow the user to create effects like never before, such as pressure sensitive strokes.
- Layer Enhancements – allow the user to drag objects directly into a composition and more;
- Tool Enhancements – such as ruller tool and crop tools, you will wonder how you ever survived with out them.
These are just some of the areas covered in the course. Generally the course went great with the learners in agreement Photoshop CS5 is the way forward. Combining digital imaging skills with Vector graphics like those created in Illustrator can really open up your options when creating content for both print and onscreen – so Big Wave Media Training also offer Photoshop combined with Illustrator as a discount package called the Adobe Graphics Pack - definitely worth considering if you’re putting together marketing materials, web sites or flash banner content…
